About Sheriff Caldwell

Sheriff Caldwell has proudly served the town of Duskmoor for over a decade, bringing unwavering leadership, calm resolve, and a deep sense of duty to his role as the community’s top law enforcement officer. Born and raised in Duskmoor, Sheriff Caldwell is a lifelong resident who understands the unique character and values that make this town unlike any other.

Growing up on the outskirts of town, Caldwell developed a strong work ethic early in life, helping on his family’s modest farm while excelling academically at Duskmoor High School, where he served as class president and captain of the wrestling team. After earning a degree in criminal justice from Granite State University, he returned home to serve the community that raised him.

Sheriff Caldwell began his career as a patrol officer with the Duskmoor Police Department, rising quickly through the ranks due to his level-headed decision-making, tireless work ethic, and strong rapport with residents. He was appointed Sheriff by Mayor Moorthorne 10 years ago, following the retirement of longtime Sheriff Walter Haines. Since taking office, Caldwell has led the department through a period of significant growth and modernization, including the introduction of community outreach programs, an expanded rural patrol unit, and updated emergency response protocols.

Known for his quiet authority and strong moral compass, Sheriff Caldwell is both a protector and a unifier. His philosophy of “safety through service” has shaped the department’s approach to community policing, emphasizing transparency, fairness, and a deep respect for the law.

Outside of uniform, Caldwell is a devoted husband to his wife, Nadine, a teacher at Duskmoor Elementary, and a proud father of two. He enjoys early morning hikes, reading American history, and volunteering with the local youth mentorship program.

As Duskmoor continues to grow and change, Sheriff Caldwell remains committed to preserving the town’s core values of safety, trust, and community. His door is always open, and his boots are always on the ground.
